Overview

This student-facing PowerPoint covers the complete NSW Department of Education sample unit for Year 5 and Year 6 geography: 454 editable slides across 16 lessons, plus 4 consolidation activities. Each lesson follows the unit's structure of Beginning the lesson, Core lesson and Concluding the lesson, so the class always knows where they are and what comes next.

The learning journey takes students from the major lines of latitude and the world's climate zones, through the relationship between climate and vegetation, to how people rely on their environment for food and materials and how human activity is changing places like New Delhi, the Amazon and Antarctica.
