Overview
This student-facing PowerPoint includes 31 slides across the three days of the lesson — estimating, measuring, comparing and ordering lengths in Explicit Teach 1, then converting between units and recording decimals in Explicit Teach 2. The slides follow the I Do, We Do, You Do structure, with every worked example, sentence stem and independent task from the lesson plan included, so you can open, project and teach.
Success criteria appear on every working slide, keeping the steps in front of students throughout — estimate to select the unit, select the instrument, measure, record, compare and order. Place value houses, ruler models and a multiply-and-divide conversion loop show students how millimetres, centimetres and metres relate, and how to record lengths to two decimal places.
