Overview
This is a complete, student-facing PowerPoint for NSW PDHPE Stage 1 Unit 4. It covers 8 lessons plus 2 optional consolidation activities across 260 classroom-ready slides, so you can open it, project it and teach.
Students start with the key water safety behaviours, signs and flags and safe places to swim, then learn how water conditions change and what to do in a water emergency – float to survive and get help safely. They move on to the 5 sun safety behaviours, how the brain, heart and lungs work together and the healthy choices that help them, before exploring belonging, connections to people, groups, places and Country, and the words and actions that build and maintain positive connections. Picture matching games, matching-lines games, a drag-into-boxes sun safety sort, role-plays and the string activity keep Year 1 and Year 2 students active and talking.
